Foray into the Macabre

We have begun taking an extra dark route in some of our newest pieces. We hope to take our art to the next level of macabre by using real teeth and bone in our work. In the piece pictured below, we used coyote teeth, accented with beautiful black czech glass beads; hanging from beautiful sterling silver earrings.

This piece is one very cool example of a new route of diversity that we’ve decided to embark on! We hope you enjoy checking it out. A Beautiful Gothic Lace Necklace

As part of our interest in gothic style; we’re featuring another beautiful gothic piece of jewelry created to look extremely dark and delicious. It is a very cool black and white skull and crossbones cameo placed on a lovely Victorian silver setting. What makes this necklace unique though is the lovely organza necklace. This beautiful lacy necklace measures 16 and 1/2 inches in length. It is extremely light weight and comfortable. The cameo measures 10x13mm, and the pendant measures right about one inch. This would be perfect as a choker, or short necklace! It also come with a 2 inch extender in case you need it just a little longer!

This piece was designed as a less expensive, but still equally beautiful part of the LondonsGate collection. It is quite a departure from our usual steampunk jewelry selection, but we are branching out, creating more, and expressing our love of gothic beauty!

Watch Movements and Victorian Revolutions

Steampunk has emerged as one of the preeminent subcultures of the last decade, and while remaining largely underground; the victorian movement is beginning to see the light of day. More and more we are seeing this beautiful form of art in everyday life. Recently a ‘telescope’ between New York and London was built. It has a distinctly victorian design, and is quite beautiful. It allows viewers in both cities to see each other as if they were viewing the other in a large ‘telescope’ that seemingly goes underground. This marvellous invention is but the tip of the iceberg for the emerging pop culture of steampunk.

The area that we specialize in though, is obviously jewelry, and we thought we’d share a couple of our new designs.

First, this beautiful Steampunk Ring! Ornate and Beautiful, Feminine yet hardened by time, this exquisite ring represents the hope of a different time, and the alternate future that could have been.

Londons Gate Steampunk Jewelry

LondonsGate is a store on Etsy.com featuring some stunning steampunk designs. The steampunk jewelry that is hand made by Londons Gate encapsulates the look and feel of a whole subgenre of science fiction: Steampunk. These bad ass rings, pendants, and earrings look simply marvellous, and would look great on any guy or girl who is sick and tired of many traditional types of fashion.

The designs featured at Londons Gate stand out in a crowd. This handmade wearable art is really, really cool.

LondonsGate is made up of Hallucination and ShadeHg. These two artists make all of the steampunk rings, steampunk pendants, earrings, and other wearable art featured on LondonsGate by hand. Although many artists sell what is considered to be steampunk jewelry, we think that Londons Gate is among the best.
